Our Chiropractic Assistant, Judie Schroeder

Chiropractic Assistant, Judie

We extend a warm welcome to Judie Schroeder who has recently joined the practice as Dr. Jackie’s Chiropractic Assistant. You will instantly recognize her by her warm smile as you enter our door. As a C.A., Judie will be drawing on her 20+ years of allied health experience, as well as her first- hand knowledge of the many benefits of regular chiropractic care contributing to a healthy life style, assuring wellness for a lifetime.

Judie grew up in Houston, but spent a great portion of her adult life in Chicago, having recently returned to our city to join family here. During the past 8 years, she has actively participated in Landmark Education, an international adult training program designed for authoring and achieving the life you love, continuously training and undertaking various Leadership roles. Before joining our Practice, Judie served as a Course Supervisor, responsible for all areas of preparation and production of the four primary courses in the Landmark curriculum.

In Judie’s spare time she loves sailing and scuba diving, having dove in most warm water oceans of the world. Judie got certified as a scuba diver over 30 years ago, and last year completed her 500th dive while in Anilao, Philippines, her favorite place (and most pristine diving) in the world. Other favorites include Belize, Honduras, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand where Judie dives with whale sharks, each 20-30 feet long, and manta rays with 8 foot wide wingspans. And yes, Judie swims with hammerheads and other sharks, too – she said “I’m not afraid to be around sharks – I’m not on their diet!”

You should also know Judie is passionate about her rare collection of sea shells from exotic places around the world, and loves to share her knowledge with children and adults alike, often spurring a love for the ocean and its creatures in others who may not have ever had the chance to experience the ocean firsthand. Judie says she wakes up every morning to her own private coral reef – a 10’ long mural representing the sites and critters she has had the privilege to swim with beneath the sea. Judie says scuba diving is not hard, in fact easier than snorkeling, and after proper training can be the most rewarding and inspiring sport that one could ever imagine.

Judie’s passion for preserving our world’s oceans carries over innately to our Healing Arts Center’s commitment to being a certified Green Practice.

What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
Can a chiropractor heal?
There's never been a case in which a doctor (chiropractor or otherwise) has formed scar tissue, mended a broken bone or cured a headache. Only you can do that. Turns out you're the doctor! All I do is help remove interferences to your body's healing ability. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
