Progress Assessments

Periodically throughout your journey back to health and wellness, we will perform Progress Assessments to measure the changes your spine and nerve system have made. We will use our computerized technology to quickly and accurately chart the changes made since your previous examination. This is a time for you to share the changes you've noticed in your health and the different lifestyle choices you have been making to help you get better results.

Progress AssessmentOn the visit following your Progress Assessment, Dr. Jackie will go over the results with you and make further recommendations for your care. With the momentum established from the intensive schedule during the early part of your care, we can often reduce your visit frequency without sacrificing continued progress toward your health goals.

The Danger

About this time, many people start to feel significantly better and are often tempted to discontinue their care. And of course, how long you benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you. Please note that you are more likely to experience a symptomatic relapse if you discontinue care before we have stabilized your spine and nerve system. This is part of the retraining process to create a stronger, more adaptable you! This strengthening occurs in the second stage of care, after symptoms disappear. Just like exercise, the more you do it, the stronger you get!

Dr. Jackie Asks some important questions of interest to Houston residents - Chiropractor Houston Dr. Jackie Asks...

What can a chiropractor do for asthma?
Many people think of chiropractic as exclusively dealing with the spine. But I'm interested in the spine because it covers the nervous system. Problems in the spine can produce problems in the organs and tissues controlled by the affected nerves—including those to the lungs and bronchial tubes. Find out how chiropractic care has helped those with asthma.
Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Houston chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
